Your Mederi provider begins with a focused clinical history: the character of your chest discomfort (sharp, pressure, burning, or aching), when it started, what makes it better or worse, and any associated symptoms such as shortness of breath, cough, or digestive symptoms. This symptom picture, along with your vital signs, guides which on-site diagnostics are clinically appropriate for your visit.

On-Site Diagnostic Testing

Based on your symptom history, your provider orders on-site testing as needed. EKG (electrocardiogram) is available at Mederi Urgent Care clinics to assess cardiac rhythm and screen for arrhythmia. Digital chest X-ray is available to evaluate for pneumonia, pleuritis, rib fracture, or other structural causes. Oxygen saturation and blood pressure are measured as part of every chest pain evaluation visit.

Diagnosis and Treatment Plan

After reviewing your exam findings and diagnostic results, your Mederi provider establishes a working diagnosis, prescribes appropriate treatment, and provides clear discharge instructions. Patients requiring specialist follow-up receive referral documentation during the same visit. Same-day chest pain evaluation results are provided before you leave, with after-visit notes accessible through the patient portal.

On-Site EKG (Electrocardiogram)

Same-day cardiac rhythm testing available at all five Mederi locations. An EKG records the electrical activity of your heart and screens for arrhythmia, ST changes, and other cardiac findings.
